Cybèle Young Creates Unique Sculptural Art Works

Young’s works are inspired by the fleeting day-to-day minutiae that comprise everyday life. Young’s miniature worlds are created by intricate handling of Japanese paper and the artist’s copperplate etchings. In the application of her subconscious to mundane and often overlooked quotidian objects, teapots and umbrellas come to life in conversation, brassieres have thoughts, and armchairs develop to-do lists.
