Fernanda Vargas is an an artist, educator, citizen of the world, and mother of two teenagers. She has explored multiple art forms, including painting, mosaics, silkscreen, and papier-mâché, but has focused on batik—a technique she mastered while living in Indonesia over twenty years ago. Fernanda resides in Setauket, NY, and is a respected teacher of art at The Art Center at Gallery North. She exhibits her work nationally and internationally.
